A Pet Cricket??

Filed under: Adoptions, Rescues & Transfers, Volunteer — ahsspecialevents @ 10:17 am

Haven’t you always wanted a pet Cricket?  No?  Well what about an adorable Cairn Terrier named Cricket?  That’s more like it!

Cricket is a sweet 1-year-old Cairn Terrier we rescued from a puppy mill in February.  She was only kept to make her previous owner a profit.  Cricket is very shy and is currently spending some time in a foster home where she is slowing learning the joys of just being a dog!  She’s really flourishing in her foster home–she gets to play with other dogs and snuggle up in her mom’s lap.  She is also crate and house trained!

Cricket is ready to be adopted, but since she’s still a little skittish, she won’t be placed in a kennel at AHS.  She’ll stay with her foster mom until we can find her a new home!  Although it will take time and lots of patience, Cricket would love the chance to find someone who will treat her like part of a real family.  She should know real love in her lifetime!  She’d probably adjust better in a home with another dog to play with and without young children.

If you’re interested in meeting Cricket or at least finding out a little more about her, please contact Karla Dempsey at karlad@atlantahumane.org.
