Be Kind to Animals Art ContestThe deadline for the AHS annual “Be Kind to Animals Week” Student Art Contest is almost here!

All artwork is due at AHS by closing time (7pm) on Wednesday, March 31st. There is a box in the Administration hallway to put your entries. Make sure each has a completed entry form taped on the back. Forms can be downloaded at the link below, or picked up here at the Shelter.

What?! You have been living under a rock and didn’t know about the contest? Well, if you know artists in Kindergarten through 12th grade, send them this link and tell them to get busy!

Finalists from 6 age categories will be chosen in early April and notified by mail. They (and their families) will be invited to the exhibition and awards ceremony at the Contemporary Arts Center in May.

Prizes for finalists include ribbons, a goody bag, and cash for the top winners! All entries recieve a Certificate of Recognition.

Be a part of spreading the word about how wonderful animals are, and how we can be kind to them, all to kick off the oldest nationally-celebrated week. Show off your artistic talents and get your pictures in by next Wednesday.

Inquiries can be made to the Education Dept. at (404) 974-2899, or education@atlantahumane.org
